Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sansthan Trust, President, Mahant Rohit Shastri met Vice-Chancellor Padamashri Prof. Ravinder Kumar Sinha at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Campus,Kakryal, Katra.
In a statement issued to mercury times, Mahant Rohit Shastri also presented memorandum to the esteemed Vice Chancellor on behalf of the trust.
On this occasion, Mahant Rohit Shastri submitted a memorandum for opening the Dogri and Yoga Department at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.
Mahant Rohit shastri also said Dogri is the mother tongue and most common language of Jammu region and same is linked with origin and roots of Jammu people as such same should be teach and promote at all levels.
That a Post Graduate department should be open SMVDU, Katra, as same is officially recognised language of India and Dogri should be treated at par with other languages.
It’s further submitted that the healthy mind resides in healthy body and for proper development of the complete individual, yoga is also very necessary, therefore same should also be included in the curriculum of the university.
Mahant Rohit Shastri also praised Prof.Sinha, SMVDU, for educational and social work in and around the Campus.
On this occasion Rohit Shastri further revealed that Shri Mata Vaishno university under the leadership of vice chancellor providing quality education and it is one of the pioneer universities of the world and this university is attaining the heights of achievements day by day.
The vice chancellor assured MRÂ Shastri that his genuine demands shall be considered soon and matter shall be taken up with the government as soon as possible.
