In response to the question of Ghulam Nabi Azad not contesting the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Omar Abdullah said that it is not shocking, he already knew that Ghulam Nabi would not contest the elections. BJP has not announced its candidate yet. DPAP chief Ghulam Nabi Azad surprised everyone by announcing that he would not contest elections from this seat. DPAP has now declared Mohammad Salim Parre as the party candidate from this seat.
