Jammu, October 21:
On the occasion of the 231st birth anniversary of Maharaja Gulab Singh, the founder of the Dogra dynasty and the erstwhile state of Jammu Kashmir, Maha Raja Hari Singh foundation organised a Blood Donation Camp and Facilitation Function in collaboration with Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit headed by President Sh Manish Sahni and Dr. Navneet Kour Secty General ISBTI & YBA founder Chairperson “SUPPORT NGO” .
On this occasion Kunwarani Dr Ritu Singh presided over as a the Chief Guest at SMGS Hospital . KunwarRani Dr Ritu Singh inaugurated the function with an offering Ardaas by Bhai Jee , followed by paying a floral tribute to Maharaja Gulab Singh with other Dignitaries .
The jointly organised blood donation camp with Maharaja Hari Singh Foundation was held at SMGS Hospital, where the Volunteers of SHIV SENA & NGO SUPPORT Jammu donated blood to patients suffering from Thalassemia & Onco Kids and distributed refreshment among them.
Dr Dara Singh Superintendent of SMGS Hosp , Dr Ashutosh Principal GMC , Dr Meena Sidhu HOD of Blood Transfusion & Medicine along with other Doctors , Nurses & Paramedical Staff graced the inaugural ceremony.

Manish Sahni, highlighted the glorious era of Maharaja Gulab Singh, the first Dogra ruler of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sahni emphasized that the revered Maharaja was not just a courageous military leader and an astute strategist but also a dedicated administrator with a strong commitment to the principles of justice and spirituality. He was instrumental in the construction of the world-famous Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Temple in the Trikuta Hills of Katra and established the Dharmarth Trust to ensure the welfare of pilgrims and the maintenance of various temples and religious sites. He said that the memories of the Dogra rulers are still alive in the hymns of Mata Vaishno Devi “Yug Yug Jiva , tere Jammu da Raja, Jus Tera bhawan banaya” along in the hearts of every resident of J&K .
On this occasion, Kunwarani Dr. Ritu Singh, who was present as the Chief Guest honored the Superintendent Dr. Dara Singh, Principal GMC Dr Ashutosh , Prof & Head of Blood’ Transfusion & Medicine Dr Meena Sidhu , Dr GS Saini , Dr Sanjeev Digra , Dr Vijay Sawhney and many other Doctors , Nurses & Staff Members and facilitated them with Medals , Momentoes and Certificates . KunwarRani appreciated them for playing an important role in our Nation for recognising the power of working together for a cause .
Dr Navneet Kour stated that, KunwarRani Ritu Singh is on her journey working in collaboration aiming to, “Bridge gaps between govt and public and she is pioneering involving many organizations to do outreaches with the Govt institutes to strengthen the community service”.
Dr Navneet Kaur appreciated the volunteer spirit of all the blood donors who have made a positive impact by donating blood .She stated , blood transfusion is an indispensable component of health care. It contributes to saving millions of lives each year in both routine and emergency situations”.
KunwarRani Ritu Singh along with Sh Manish Sahni , Dr Navneet Kour Dr Dara Singh & team of Doctors visited the Thalassemia & Onco Children wards and distributed refreshments to all the children and their attendants .
The first two donors were Mr Munish Sahni President Siv Sena J&K and Ms Simpie Rainal member NGO SUPPORT .
“On 6 th of May 1940 the historic SMGS Hospital was built and Started by Maharaja Hari Singh Ji in the name of his ancestor “expressed KunwarRani Ritu Singh . She also presented a big portrait of Maharaja Gulab Singh to SMGS Hospital . A cake cutting ceremony was also done . They Facilitated the Media persons present on the occasion .
The organisation who supported the cause were Rotary , ISBTI & YBA . The atmosphere was charged as large number of participants raised slogans for the longevity of their beloved founder of Jammu Kashmir& Ladakh.
Sh Manish Sahni & Dr Navneet Kour presented the Vote of thanks to Kunwar Rani Ritu Singh Cofounder of Maharaja Hari Singh Foundation and there members for taking such a beautiful initiative and with a positive outreach for serving the humanity . Vote of thanks were also extended to Superintendent Dr Dara Singh & his wonderful team , Principal GMC Dr Ashutosh Gupta , Dr Meena Sidhu Prof & HOD of Blood Transfusion & Medicine & their entire team .
