Jammu, July 22:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach the Kargil War Memorial in Drass on July 26 to attend the ceremony organized on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. He will pay tribute to the martyrs. On Sunday, Ladakh’s Deputy Governor Brigadier (Retired) Dr. BD Mishra held a meeting at the Secretariat regarding the PM’s visit.
LG discussed several points with the departmental secretaries/Deputy Commissioner Kargil, police and army officials. PM will also attend the wreath-laying ceremony at the Kargil War Memorial and interact with Veer Naris. A green room will be prepared for him at the helipad.
Mishra has directed the concerned officials to complete all the arrangements on time. The LG will visit the Kargil War Memorial in Drass on July 24 to inspect the arrangements.
Major General Malik said that the Special Security Group (SPG) team will arrive here on July 23 and will hold a meeting for coordination with the army, police and civil administration.
