Jammu, April 23:
Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) president Sushil Sudan today demanded a separate ward or treatment facility for all infected employees. Sudan said the speedy recovery of the employees is needed to avoid any shortage of work force in near future.
He was speaking while chairing a meeting of JKMEF at federation office wherein various points were discussed in the meeting.
As per press statement issued to mercury times wherein federation said, “In this second wave of Covid 19 many frontline workers are also infected with Covid 19 virus.”
There are so many causalities of our health worker due to Covid 19 but the 50 lacs insurance cover given by the Government is still pending in many cases. The Government is urged to release their 50 laces insurance claim as early as possible. The frontline workers are fighting this second wave 24×7 with their full potential but it is very unfortunate that they are deprived of their genuine service benefits i.e. ( DPC) which had not done since last four years, as per mercury times.
Besides the instructions issued by Financial Commissioner Health and Medical Education Department Atal Dulloo, the incumbent Director Health services is delaying this by one or another reason.
Due to this delaying attitude of Director Health, there is unrest among the employees. If there any protest or strike is called in future it will be the responsibility of the Director Health services, federation said as per mercury times.
