Jammu, September 22:
A team of the Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Sabha on Friday interacted with Batwal community members of Kotli Miyan Fateh, Langotiyan, Chack Mohd Yar and Jindarh Mellu of Tehsil Ranbir Singh Pura and appreciated the role being played by them in strengthening ties between community members of other tehsils.
During the interaction, General Secretary R.L.Kaith stressed on the essence of literacy in the community. He said, Greater literacy skills open the doors to more educational, employment and entrepreneurial opportunities. Literacy helps people pull themselves out of poverty and underemployment.
Team was accorded a great honour by their community members.
Prominent among those with whom the team interacted were Messrs Tehsildar Satish Kumar Mandi, Ex CMO Dr G.L.Motan, Ved Raj Motan, Hony Captain Behari Lal Sandhu, Subedar Major Thoru Ram Mandi, Ex Sarpanch Krishan Lal Sandhu, Ex Section Officer Krishan Lal Sandhu, Retired TSO Rachhpal Kaith, Retired Account Officer Mohinder Singh Motan, Dilay Ram Kaith, Sat Pal Mandi and Janak Raj Sandhu.
