Jammu, November 19:
Members of Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Sabha led by Shri Hans Raj Loria, today visited the Krishi Mela organised by the Shere Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu on its main campus at Chatha.
In a statement issued to mercury times, the members said, the mela focused on demonstration and exhibition of proven and improved technologies developed by the University to improve agricultural productivity, profitability and sustainability in the Jammu region.
Members impressed upon their community brothers living in rural areas and working in agriculture to adopt the system of integrated farming, they said multiple crops would go a long way in providing economic stability to them.
Members advised the community brothers to take up subsidiary enterprises along with agriculture and value addition to crops in order to get good profits.
Among the members who visited the Krishi Mela included R.L.Kaith, Havildar Des Raj Kaith, Tilak Raj Bassa and Deepak Jyoti.
