Jammu, February 27:
Union Minister Ramdas Athawale said, ‘Some politicians consider themselves Hindus and want Hindu votes. Yet Rahul Gandhi decided to skip the Maha Kumbh probably because he considered it the Kumbh of PM Narendra Modi or CM Yogi Adityanath, and not of Hindus. Uddhav Thackeray is not a true Hindu or the successor of Bala Saheb for not going to the Maha Kumbh. In the coming elections, the public will teach a tough lesson to both of them and their politics will collapse.’
On the Hindi language controversy in Tamil Nadu, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale said, ‘Hindi is our national language, as we have a very large Hindi-speaking population. Only in Tamil Nadu and Kerala there are not enough people who speak Hindi. The problem in Tamil Nadu is that not enough people speak English. I request the Tamil-speaking people that if they do not want to speak in Hindi.
They are not forced to speak in Hindi, but do not strongly oppose the language.’
