J&K Election: Election Commission team reviewing assembly election preparations in Srinagar

Srinagar, August 8:

The upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be held soon. Regarding this, the team of the Election Commission of India (ECI) has arrived on a two-day visit to the state from today. The team reached Kashmir on the first day. It is reviewing the preparations for the elections here.

A delegation of the Election Commission of India (ECI) led by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar and Election Commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu has reached Srinagar to review election preparations in Jammu and Kashmir. Security arrangements are tight during this period.

The Commission officials are meeting the leaders of political parties to discuss the electoral process. Apart from political consultations.

The team will hold meetings with top officials of the police and civil administration, including District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police of various districts.
