Srinagar, March 1: The Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces have launched a counter-offensive against the overground workers operating in the valley. As part of this campaign, the Kashmir Police has arrested Jaish-e-Mohammed’s overground worker from Tral area of Awantipora in South Kashmir. Explosive material has also been recovered from him after searching. Police is interrogating him.
According to the information received from the police, these overground workers operating in Kashmir are the eyes and nose of terrorist organizations. For a long time, he was getting information that some overground workers in Tral were helping the terrorists. They activated their systems. We were informed of the presence of a terrorist from Laur Jagir Tral. On the basis of this information, a joint team of SOG personnel, 42 RR of Army and 180 battalion of BSF reached the village and started searching for terrorists. No terrorist was involved during this operation, but the Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist organization’s overground worker Muzamil Qadir Bhat resident Lor Jagir Tral was killed by the police. On searching, the contents of Jaish-e-Mohammed organization and a hand grenade were recovered from him. Police said that he had hidden this grenade in the premises of his house.
Police said they had been looking for Muzamil for a long time. He was the helper of terrorist organizations in Tral. He was in direct contact with the commanders of Jaish. The police have registered a case against him and initiated further action. It is being said that many important things can come out in the inquiry.
