Jammu, August 28:
Jammu Municipal Corporation has deployed 185 Nala Gang workers to clean the drains and localities which have turned into heaps of debris and garbage.
Apart from this, about three hundred small and big vehicles and machinery have also been deployed.
The corporation has taken these steps keeping in mind the devastation caused by the torrential rains in Jammu.
All the Nala Gang workers have been assigned work under the supervision of the concerned sanitation officer. The concerned workers were put to work from Thursday morning itself.
Not only this, former corporators in the wards are also helping them so that relief can be provided to the people.
Heavy rains caused havoc in Jammu on Tuesday, while before that on Sunday, i.e. 24 August 2025. Heavy rains caused damage in most areas of Jammu West and Jammu North. Dozens of streets were washed away. The goods lying in people’s houses were washed away by the water.
