Jammu and Kashmir DGP RR Swain will retire today, Nalin Prabhat will take over the command

Jammu, September 30:

Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police RR Swain will retire on Monday. Nalin Prabhat will take over the command of the police in his place. Swain was bid farewell by J&K Police Public School Bemina on Sunday by organizing a ceremony. The President of Police Wives Welfare Association J&K was also with the Director General of Police. Nalin Prabhat will take over as the Director General of Police of Jammu and Kashmir on October 1, 2024.

The dignitaries present at the ceremony shared their experiences. Students and teachers were informed about their roles and responsibilities towards the society and the nation. Inspector General of Police Kashmir Virdi, OGP Security Sujeet Kumar and DIG Om Prakash Pandey were also present on the occasion.

School Principal Snigdha Singh Chauhan, Vice Principal Pragati Pandey and Headmistress Shabira Shabnam welcomed the dignitaries by presenting them traditional Kashmiri shawls. Students of various classes interacted with the guests and exchanged views.

On the last day of his service, Director General of Police RR Swain on Monday paid tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the unity and integrity of the country at Balidan Stambh Pratap Park, Lal Chowk.
