Jalshakti Deptt temporary workers to intensify their agitation in coming days

Jammu, August 28:
The temporary workers of the Jalshakti department are now going to intensify their agitation in the coming days. In this regard, the rounds of meetings are going on at the district and block level. Members of PHE Employees United Front say that two mega rallies have been held and more such rallies will be organized in the coming times. The secretariat will be cordoned off and the road will be blocked.
In a statement issued to mercury times, front member Ravi Hans said that the government is lying dumb and deaf and did not listen to the demands of the temporary workers. So we have to change our strategy and our protest will be fierce. The work of taking out rallies at the district level will be intensified and we were so keen that the government should at least make a policy to regularize the employees. For the last five years, the government fired them by giving false assurances. Now we have realized that the government has manipulated us and every time we have assured and hired employees. But now we will not come to the words of the government. That is why our movement will continue but now it will intensify and in the coming times there will be siege of the houses of the people who were the representatives of the people. Ravi said that it is a matter of the future of 22 thousand employees who have been associated with the department for more than 20 years and are rendering their services. Meanwhile, the temporary workers of the Jalshakti Department again staged a sit-in at the office of the Jalshakti Department located on BC Road and raised slogans against the government. These employees said that the struggle for justice will continue. If the government still does not wake up then we will be forced to intensify the movement.
