Today Poltical Activist, Partap Singh Jamwal demanded for upper age relaxation in jkssb SI recruitment 2021. He said that the unemployed youth of J&K appealed to the LG J&K UT to personally intervene in the matter regarding the age criteria set by home dept.for the recruitment of SI (sub inspector) in JK police. We admire the rules set by home department and JKSSB, but the above age limit of 28 years is injustice. As everyone is aware how much time we have sacrificed in turmoil and other worst hit conditions.
In a statement issued to mercury times, Partap said that the youth of J&K lost a year with the abrogation of article 370 and 35A, Next two years with COVID-19 pendamic. Whenever there is a release of any Government job notification, hardly there are 50 posts to which an individual is eligible and for those 50 posts there are lakhs of applicants. What can educated and unemployed youth do under these circumstances, where youth will go, which doors we can knock, are we not the residents of J & K.
As JKSSB and home dept. have maintained an upper age limit for JKP SI 28 years.
He added that This has increased the frustration among unemployed youth who age is above 28 yrs. if jk bank has ammended the recruitment rules where they gave age relaxation of almost 5 years, similarly why JKSSB and Home Department Can’t give age relaxation in this recruitment. More over the minimum age set as per rules is 18 years, it is practically not possible for any one to be graduate at 18 It is totally injustice with us.
We will not bear this injustice. This will create choas and definitely will lead unemployed youth towards wronge direction and other activites, because we are left with no option.
Partap appealed to the LG, J&K UT please relook this matter personally.
