Akhil Bhartiya Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad pays homage to the Martyrs of Dongri, Rajouri
Jammu, January 9:
A meeting was held at the border village of Sanura to pay homage to civilian martyred at Dongri in Rajouri district. A large number of Ex-servicemen have gathered to pay homage to innocent killed in this barbaric act. There was a lot of anger amongst the Ex-servicemen.
In a statement issued to mercury times, a written message of Brig Balbir Singh Sambyal (Retd) was read out to the gathering by Col Sukhvir Mankotia in which he said that if Govt permits Ex-servicemen are ready to train and protect the civilians of Border villages.
Col VS Mangotra while addressing the gathering said that the time has come when we will have to come forward and save innocent civilians. Capt Risal Singh and Capt Varinder Salathia also addressed the Ex-servicemen.
Elections of Rajpura Tehsil were also held under the supervision of General Secretary Col Sukhvir Mankotia. Capt Rajinder Singh, President, Capt Kamal, Vice President and Hav Neelam, Secretary were elected unanimously by the Ex-servicemen present there.
Newly elected President Capt Rajinder Singh said that Our village is ready to face any such challenge. He further added that only request to the UT Administration is to *renew personal weapon licences of Ex-servicemen on priority* so that we can stop such barbaric killings of innocent countrymen.
Meeting was declared closed with singing of National Anthem by all the Ex-servicemen.
