House demolished amid protests in Talab Tillo, victims said – didn’t even give notice

Jammu, December 13:
In a joint action by the municipal corporation, administration and police, the house in Talab Tillo was demolished on Friday.

The team that came to take action faced opposition. The family has said that the land belongs to them and has now warned of protests.
The action took place around 12:30 p.m.

The family alleges that the house was demolished in the presence of the police. They were not even given a chance to remove the belongings.

According to the victim, Karan Singh, the employees of the corporation came to him about a week and a half ago.

It was told that a sewerage pipe is to be laid near his house. They refused to give the land. Now, wrong action has been taken.
The victim, Karan Singh, said the family had been living here for 30 years. Instructions were given by the administration not to demolish the house.

Despite this, the team demolished the house. Not only that, they were neither given any notice nor given an opportunity to present their case.

Former councillor of Ward-31, Sucha Singh, condemned the action and said that it is wrong to uproot any family without notice.
