Appeals LG & District admin to construct road connectivity to the area

Bandipora, September 24:
Residents of Haripora-Athwatoo village in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district are facing immense hardships due to absence of road connectivity in area.
Local residents of the area said to MT News Service that in absence of the road connectivity, the inhabitants of village Haripora-Athwatoo, situated in the upper reaches of Bandipora, are forced to walk 2 to 3 kms by foot to reach on Bandipora -Athwatoo road.
Locals adds that there is no road to our village. We have to walk several kilometers to Athwatoo main market for everything.
People are forced to bring essentials on shoulders from the main Haripora up to their homes.
Deputy Sarpunch Mushtaq Ahmad ‘said” Haripora-Athwatoo villagers are living a miserable life due to lack of proper road connectivity in the area . He ‘added” that the life of locals of this area totally hampers and remains paralyzed during snow and rainy season as the muddy road creates extreme problems and especially school children’s. Meanwhile the residents urged the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and district administration Bandipora to look into their genuine grievances at an earliest.
