Katra, May 7:
A serious case has once again come to light in the religious city of Katra regarding the increasing factionalism between law and order and auto drivers.
An auto-rickshaw driver was fatally attacked by some youths in Matiyal area of Katra. It triggers a sensation in the area. According to information, the attack was allegedly carried out due to the “blue auto rickshaw versus black auto rickshaw” factionalism.
The injured youth has been identified as Parbez Ahmed, son of Sai resident Nomai.
It is being told that Parbez Ahmed was standing in the Matiyal area with his auto rickshaw. Meanwhile, some youths who came from behind suddenly attacked him.
The assailants allegedly hit the young man on the head with a heavy tool like a tyre opener. It causes him to lie down bleeding on the spot with serious injuries.
The locals immediately picked up the injured youth and took him to the Community Health Center Katra (CHC) for treatment and informed the police.
