While Interacting and briefing with media persons Prominent Social Activist Er.Rishi Kilam National Joint Secretary & Spokesperson Youth Wing of NCP
said that 19th January 1990 was a dooms day for Kashmir Pandit Community when they were told to leave the valley within 24 hrs.
This was the day when kashmirayat was murdered and the sinful act by the anti-elements was exposed.
How the community survived till date God alone knowns. The wounds will not heal up.
Er. Rishi said that it is ironic that the issue of Kashmir Pandit Migrants is still unsettled and no substantial decision is being taken by the BJP government till date.
Er. Rishi said that We don’t talk of immediate return of migrants we mean to settle their economic issues and Lack of facilities till they are called as migrants.
It is surprising that this distress community is lacking health assistance, Civic amenities and economic support.
Number of deaths take place for lack of financial assistance and health care.
Rishi said that he is confident that large no of KP Migrants will not return back to valley because of unsettled issues with the community.
Some leaders are without knowing the exact consent of the migrants advocating their cause.
Rishi said that each and every KP migrant should be taken into confidence before the announcement of return package.
The viable solution for this issue is to go for One time settlement with adequate financial assistance.
Keeping the age and other factors in consideration majority of the community members do not want one more migration to valley not because of any threat preception.
Resettlement is a long process till the one more generation will be no more.
Meanwhile Rishi pleaded for the cause of ill fated Youth who are suffering for want of jobs and getting over aged day by day. Rishi appealed the central and Lt. Governor to solve the burning issue of the youth who are in distress and running from pillar to post.
