Srinagar, August 17:
Roads in Kangan area were damaged due to floods following heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir. Muddy water flowed on Kangan road on Saturday morning after heavy rains in Hasnabad area of Ganderbal area. SDM has visited the area.
Heavy rains occurred in Hasanabad area of Ganderbal area. Due to which Kangan road turned muddy. SDM Kangan Bilal Mukhtar has reached the spot to review the situation in Kangan subdivision. However, no senior officer has reached the spot.
A local resident said that many areas are affected due to floods after heavy rains. We request the administration to build check dams and open the drains which have been encroached so that water can flow. According to the local weather forecast for Jammu, today it will be ‘generally cloudy with light rain’ and the humidity will be 68 percent.
