Firing from across the border on LoC in Nowshera sector of Rajouri, one army soldier injured

An Army jawan was injured on Wednesday in a firing incident along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district. The jawan was posted at a forward post in Kalsian area of ​​Nowshera sector, officials said. The injured jawan was given first aid and then rushed to the military hospital in Udhampur for specialized treatment. The jawan was hit by a bullet fired from across the border.

The reasons for the firing on the Line of Control are being investigated. They said that at around 6 am, there was also a report of an explosion on the zero line in the area. After which three rounds of firing took place. However, officials said that there is no immediate news of any casualties in the explosion. Although the reason for the explosion is not yet known.

At the same time, on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, BSF jawans foiled an infiltration attempt on the India-Pakistan border in Samba. According to the information received, last night at around 1 o’clock, the jawans of the Border Security Force saw some suspicious activity at the Khora post of Samba sector, after which the jawans fired a few rounds.
