US President Donald Trump has made an important announcement during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s US visit. In a joint press conference with PM Modi, President Trump said, “We are also moving towards giving F-35 fighter aircraft to India in the future.” It is believed that the Trump administration is now also clearing the way to give F-35 fighter aircraft to India.
Stealth technology: The F-35 fighter plane is not easily detected by enemy radar due to its speed faster than the sound. In fact, being a stealth plane, its speed reaches 1.6 Mach (about 1930 km/hour). At this speed, even many modern radars cannot detect the plane.
Modern sensors: Lockheed Martin, the company that makes the F-35, has used modern sensors in this fighter plane. Due to this, this fighter jet has the ability to recognize the attacks on it almost immediately and retaliate.
Network based warfare: The network system of the F-35 sends all the information related to its control to the ground based contact center. Apart from this, this plane can also send necessary information to nearby fighter planes during the operation itself.
Weapon system: The F-35 is fitted with some of America’s deadliest air-to-air missiles and air-to-ground bombs. Apart from this, a 25 mm artillery has also been used in the jet. The F-35A has also been approved to carry nuclear bombs.
Display system mounted on helmet: The most dangerous aspect of the F-35 is the helmet system given to its pilot, which is a computer in itself. During any mission, the pilot does not have to look at the dashboard of the fighter plane.
