In the run-up to Independence Day 2022 Celebration, a Program of different competitions was organized by GDC Kishtwar under the aegis of AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV. The programme was organized under the able patron-ship of Prof. Anirudh Sharma Principal GDC Kishtwar. The whole programme included a Singing, Essay and Debate competition among the students of the Colleges of District Kishtwar.
In the singing competition total of Ten students participated and Natasha Chaudhary and Mamta both students of GDC Kishtwar were adjudged as winners and runners up respectively. The Jury members for the singing Competition were Prof. Tariq Hussain Dev ‘Tamkeen’ , Mr. Touseef Nisar Doolwal – Famous Singer of Kishtwar and Prof. Madhu Bala of GDC Kishtwar.
In the debate Competition total of 08 students participated and Asif Hussain student of GDC Kishtwar was adjudged the winner and Sangeeta Thakur of GDC Chhatroo was adjudged as runner-up. The debate Competition was juried by Prof. Sonika Sen, Prof. Vikram and Prof Madhu Bala of GDC Kishtwar.
In the Essay writing competition, 10 students participated and Shashi Thakur of GDC Kishtwar was declared the winner and Nadiya Malik of GDC Chatroo was adjudged as runner-up. The Essay writing competition was adjudged by Prof. Vikram Shan(Deptt. of English) and Prof. Vijay Chauhan (HOD Hindi)
The Chief Guest of the Programme was Principal GDC Kishtwar Prof. Anirudh Sharma and the welcome address was presented by prof. Sonika sen HOD Sociology GDC Kishtwar.
