Er. Raj Kumar Badyal, Senior leader and Spokesperson of Congress, District Kishtwar made various demands .
In a series of statements Er. Raj Kumar Badyal urged Lieutenant Governor UT Jammu and Kashmir to remit Electricity Bills for the Lockdown Period to provide immediate relief to the people of Kishtwar.
In his statement he said that Kishtwar is very far flung and economically backward district of J&K.The majority population depends upon daily wagging for their livlihood and they are facing severe hardships to earn. It is also pertinent to mention here that amid this pandemic of COVID-19 , all the sources of income got seized out. As a result of this, people of Kishtwar are not able to pay their Electricity Bills. So it’s demanded on behalf of general public of Kishtwar to repeal the electricity bills for lockdown period ( March to June 2020) to enhance financial immunity to the public of the Kishtwar, said Er. Raj Badyal.
Further Mr. Badyal expressed deep annoyance and resentment on hike in fuel prices which consistently got an acceleration day by day. It is very shocking that first time in history price of diesel has surpassed the prices of petrol.This Continuation in price hike of petrol and diesel directly and indirectly affects the budget of middle class population. He also reminded Govt. that India remained always in state of war like situation since 1947 and had faced number of chalanges but no Govt. has diverted such pressure on common public in the name of any inside disturbance or outside threats.
Er. Raj Badyal further said , “We the people of India (Bharat) are firmly stand with Govt. and our brave soldiers in each and every situation to safeguard Sovereignty and Integration of our Nation. But meanwhile it is also duty of every democratic Govt. to mitigate public greivences in which present Govt. has failed completely so I marked strong protest in this regard .” He demands immediate curtailment in unfair and undue taxes on fuel to control the price hikes.
In series of statements, Er. Raj Kumar Badyal, urged Deputy Commissioner, District Kishtwar to ensure fair recruitment of unemployed youths of Kishtwar in Hydroelectric Projects on priority. He said, Kishtwar had lost almost every natural resources like land, water, forest for the sake of these ambitious projects of Govt. so it’s our first and exclusive right of jobs on these projects. He further appealed DC Kishtwar to discourage monopoly of single political party in these projects.
Er. Raj Kumar Badyal in his statement warned the management of AFCONS, PATEL Engineering Ltd. and JP Companies to desist from recruiting manpower from outside the District Kishtwar.
At last Er. Raj Kumar Badyal urged unemployed youth of district Kishtwar to remain united and firm in this regard. He assures people of Kishtwar that he will fight tooth and nail for this cause and is always ready to launch a massive protest if the demands are not fullfilled.
