Sopore June 19:
An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Sopore of Baramulla in North Kashmir on Wednesday afternoon. In this firing, two terrorists were killed by the security forces. However, a brave policeman was also injured during the operation. The injured soldier was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. The operation is still going on.
After receiving information about suspicious activity of terrorists in Hadipora village of Sopore on Wednesday morning, police and security forces immediately cordoned off the area. A search operation was started. Sopore police, Army’s 32 RR and CRPF personnel conducted a massive search operation. The area was searched. This area was close to GDC Hadipora and Panash Coaching Institute Hadipora. As a precaution, these were kept closed so that no damage is caused. Seeing the cordon getting tight, the terrorists opened fire on the security forces. The security forces gave a befitting reply to this. Thus the encounter started. Two terrorists were killed in this encounter.
