Stepping up its commitment to a greener future, the Eco Club of Govt Degree College Kishtwar, in collaboration with the Pollution Control Board (PCB) Kishtwar, today hosted a successful plantation drive on the college campus as part of the Viksit Bharat campaign @2047.
The initiative, spearheaded by Dr. Sehrish Gazal, Convener of the Eco Club, saw the enthusiastic participation of students, faculty members, and distinguished guests. Mr. Mukesh Bali, District Officer, PCB Kishtwar, generously provided saplings of diverse species, contributing to the beautification and environmental enrichment of the campus.
The event witnessed active participation from esteemed figures like Prof. Umar Deen (HOD Chemistry), Prof. Nainkumar (HOD Physics), Prof. Privithiraj (HOD Economics), Dr. Bilal, and Prof. Vikram Singh. Their presence and involvement showcased the college’s unwavering dedication to fostering environmental consciousness among its students and the wider community.
Dr. Jyoti Parihar, Principal of the College, expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the organizing committee and Mr. Bali for their instrumental roles in the successful execution of the drive. She lauded the initiative as a vital step towards a cleaner and greener future, aligning perfectly with the aspirations of the Viksit Bharat campaign.
