Dussehra celebrated with great pomp in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu, October 12:

Dussehra was celebrated with great pomp in Jammu and Kashmir. The celebration of Dussehra in the valley was not only a symbol of religious fervor. It also indicates that the Union Territory is progressing a lot in terms of development. On this occasion, hundreds of Kashmiri Pandits and Hindus celebrated Dussehra together, which presents an example of social unity and cultural diversity.

A huge effigy of Ravana was burnt at the Government Boys School in Jammu, which was a spectacular spectacle for the spectators. Fireworks were also organised along with the burning of Ravana, which made the atmosphere even more joyous. A large number of people had gathered to see Ravana, and the administration had made tight security arrangements. The deployment of security personnel all around assured the people that they could enjoy their festival in a safe environment.

This year’s Dussehra also became a topic of discussion for a unique tradition. As soon as the effigy of Ravana was burnt, people started running towards the burning wood without any fear.
