Jammu, June 3:
The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Crime Branch Jammu and Kashmir has arrested an inter-state drug smuggler with great success. About 10 kg of ganja has been recovered from the possession of the accused. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation to trace the smuggling racket and others behind it.
On 02-07-2026, Asharam Banjare son of Rajigarh, resident of Chhattisgarh was arrested. 10 kg of ganja-like substance recovered from him in JDA Park near Railway Station Jammu Tawi. The ANTF team was led by Inspector Nait Ali. In this regard, a case has been registered at PS ANTF Jammu under FIR No. 05/2026 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act and investigation is underway to ascertain the backward forward linkage.
