Srinagar, January 9:
Police on Wednesday busted a gang involved in drug smuggling across the border. Police arrested two drug smugglers and eight kilograms of heroin from them.
SSP Srinagar Imtiyaz Hussain Mir said that initial investigation has revealed that the drugs have been smuggled from Pakistan. During routine checking, a team of Police post Kamarwari stopped a vehicle at Barthana crossing. Eight kg heroin was recovered from it.
A case has been registered under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Parimpora police station.
