Members of the new Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Jammu Police reached GMC Hospital to interrogate the main accused in the Dr. Sumedha murder case and his friend Johar Mahmood Ganai. Johar Mehmood is admitted in this hospital since the incident.
After killing Sumedha, he had stabbed himself in stomach. Since then he is undergoing treatment in the hospital. Johar Mehmood has been kept under tight security in the hospital, yet he once tried to break the stitches on his abdominal wound.
The SIT members said that it is not possible for them to arrest Johar until he is discharged from the hospital. Johar is taking advantage of this, if sources are to be believed, the SIT members had come with a list of questions to interrogate Johar, but he did not give a satisfactory answer to even a single question asked by the SIT members.
A member of the SIT said that from Johar’s attitude, it seemed that he did not want to give any cooperation to the police in this matter. However, the evidence collected by the Janipur police since the incident clearly indicates that Dr. Sumedha was murdered by Johar as part of a conspiracy.
Now in this investigation it has to be ascertained whether some other people had cooperated with Johar to kill Sumedha. What was the dispute between the two on the day of the murder i.e. March 7, due to which Johar Mehmood killed Sumedha so brutally. The investigation is being taken forward by connecting all the links.
