Senior Aam Admi party (AAP) leader and District president Kulgam Dr Mohammad Ayoub matoo has expressed anguish over the hardships confronting people living in South Kashmir Kulgam district due to fresh snowfall, demanding that the electricity and road clearance especially in upper areas of Kulgam on war footing basis.
Dr Ayoub also urged the District administration to ensure every facility to people living in upper areas in South Kashmirs Kulgam district which are disconnected due to the snowfall and their difficult topographies.
Mentioning that fresh snowfall in Kashmir and elsewhere in J&K has disconnected people from District headquarters especially those living in Farflung areas of Kulgam district.
Dr Ayoub said that it seems that administration has got buried under a few inches of snow, as that various Farflung areas were disconnected with their respective district headquarters, as reported by people, although various agencies and Municipal Committees have started their work early, but at the same time, the Govt is required to speed up the work, besides gearing up agencies especially those managing electricity, road clearance, supply of essentials, medical facilities in order to ensure respite to people.
I was appraised by various people from Farflung areas of Kulgam district about the situation and difficulties confronting them due to fresh snowfall and sought redressal of their grievances, Dr Ayoub added.
Dr Ayoub laid emphasizes over ensuring adequate supply of electricity, essentials and road clearance in upper reaches in Kulgam district and elsewhere in Kashmir to ensure respite to people from the current bone chilling weather.
