The sale and use of Chinese thread (Gattu) is being sold openly. The only difference is that now it is not seen in shops in the open market. But it is being sold secretly through internet media. This thread is easily available under different names on shopping websites and mobile apps.
Despite the strictness of the administration, this trend is continuously increasing. While on one hand the police and administration are running a campaign against Gattu Door. On the other hand, people are engaged in buying this door with the help of technology.
In many cases, it has been observed that shopkeepers now advise customers to order on mobile instead of keeping stock in the shop. For this, QR code, payment link and private chat are being used.
Jammu Police has received information from secret sources that Gattu Door is still being supplied at many places in the city. Police also raided some places in the past few days, but no concrete results could be obtained. Actually, Gattu Door ordered online is delivered directly to the customer’s home, due to which the police does not get a chance to catch them at any shop or store.
