Jammu, December 28:
Col SS Pathania, President Sainik Samaj Party JKUT, complimented PM Modi for revision of pension and release of arrears of One Rank, One Pension (OROP),ignoring bureaucratic hurdles. About 30 lakhs pensioners and family pensioners will be immensely benefited, from the historical decision by union government, under the munificent leadership of PM Modi. Indian Ex servicemen Movement, had filed a case, demanding OROP for pensioner ,with equalisation on annual basis . However, case dragged on for more than 7 years ,on some account or other. Finally on 16 March 2022, Supreme court rejected the plea and said ,that there is no infirmity by the government, on its stance towards OROP. Honourable Supreme court, directed the government to pay the arears of OROP within three months i.e. 16 June 2022.Meanwhile government approached Supreme court twice for more time and finally supreme court agreed to give them the extended date till 23 March 2023.Meanwhile PM Modi, showing his compassion, love and respect, held the cabinet meeting and cleared the decks for revision of pay and release of arrears, with lightening speed. On behalf of all pensioners and family pensioners, Sainik Samaj Party, JKUT expresses its profound gratitude and heartfelt thanks for compassion and empathy, displayed by PM Modi towards armed forces fraternity. We also request honourable PM Modi, to re consider the release of arrears of 18 months DA, to serving soldiers and pensioners as and when economic situation stablises and improves.
