Jammu, September 2:
In Sangrambhata village of Kishtwar district, a young man brutally murdered his wife just 16 days after marriage.
The accused husband Amir Mushtaq killed his wife Yasmina Begum by attacking her with a sharp weapon.
Yasmina and Aamir got married on August 18. This was Aamir’s second marriage.
The police received information about the murder at around 4 am on Tuesday. After which the police immediately reached the spot and took possession of the body and arrested the accused.
The accused has confessed to the murder and described himself as mentally ill. He also claimed that his wife was not fit for marital relations and he was deceived.
Yasmina was going to her maternal home in Doda on Tuesday. For this, fuel was also filled in the car. The family has refused to take the body and said that they will not perform the last rites until the accused is punished.
There was a huge uproar in the hospital after the incident.
Police officials have assured the family that the accused will be given the strictest punishment and the entire case is being investigated seriously.
