Srinagar, February 20:
BJP Vice President district ganderbal Ruheena Shahzad had expressed her concern over the landslide in Rezwan Gagangeer Sonamarg where two families had become homeless and many other families have also suffered damages in Rezwan Gagangeer Sonamarg in Ganderbal district.
As per a press statement issued to mercury times, Ruheena Shahzad said that “It is very unfortunate on account of Govt that no immediate relief was given to families who became homeless because of this natural disaster.”
She has expressed concern about the incident. Owing to the harsh winters, she said that “It is near to impossible for the victim families to sustain life homeless without support from the administration.”
She said that the LG administration should take the serious notice of the issue and immediately depute a team for providing the initial relief to the victim families.
She urged the LG Administration to make an assessment of losses and pay fair compensation to the victim families.
She has also demanded alternative shelters for all the victim households so that any major loss could be escaped.
