J&K BJP remembered and paid warm tributes to the Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth Anniversary and observed Swacchta Diwas across the region to mark the occasion at District, Mandal and Ward level across Jammu & Kashmir.
In a statement issued to mercury times, BJP leaders emphasized on the promotion and use of Swadeshi products especially Khadi stressing on the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make “Atma Nirbhar Bharat”. BJP leaders also purchased numerous Khadi products from Khadi shops to mark the occasion.
BJP President Ravinder Raina paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri in Hiranagar at Arun Jaitley Stadium. He visited Samba Khadi Centre and purchased Khadi items along with other senior leaders. He said that the Nation will always be indebted to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri as they have worked tirelessly in the service of the Nation. He narrated the life instances of these great personalities and the impact of strong their will on the future of the Nation. He said that today the Modi ji has totally transformed the idea of Swacchta and AtmaNirbharta and taken it to common masses changing it into a movement. He prompted all the BJP activists as well as common masses to contribute in achieving the aim of clean and green Bharat. He said the real tribute to these men lies in the pledge to offer the valuable time of our lives for the betterment of human race on the whole.
BJP General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul paid tributes to the great personalities at Satwari Chowk and Bishnah. He visited Khadi Shop at Jakh and purchased Khadi items along with other leaders. He said that it is utmost necessary to imbibe the spirit of Nationalism and feel proud in using Swadeshi products. He said Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shashtri lived their own life in simplicity and created an unparalleled niche in the hearts of everyone with their works.
Jugal Kishore Sharma paid tributes at Ward 30, Ward 31, Ward 41, Ward 14 at Talab Tillo and other places. He also visited Khadi Bhandar Parade and purchased Khadi products. He asked all the party activists to work dedicatedly to make the vision of Modi ji a success while emphasizing on the importance of cleanliness and AtmaNirbharta.
Sat Sharma paid tributes at Ward 30, Ward 41, Ward 41, Ward 14. He said that the Modi ji led Union government has given the National heroes true respect they deserved after the decades of non-recognition and selfish politics by Congress. Distributed eatables, participated in rallies and purchased Khadi products.
Yudhvir Sethi participated in Swachta programs at Ram Talai Ward 2, Swami Vivekanand Centre Ward 7, Ward 10 and Ward 19. He asked everybody to promote Swadeshi brands to strengthen the economy of Nation and participate in cleanliness drive in their vicinity.
Sunil Sharma participated in Swachta programs at Awantipora, Khannabal and other places in Kashmir. He asked local BJP leaders to aware people on the importance of cleanliness.
Adv. Vibodh Gupta participated in Swachta program at Tube Well Talab Tillo, Akhnoor and other places. Purchased Khadi items along with other leaders and prompted others to purchase local products.
Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal participated in Swachta programs at Arun Jaitley Stadium Hiranagar, Basantar Ghat and other places at Samba. He purchased Khadi products along with Ravinder Raina and other leaders at Samba. He said that by purchasing Swadeshi products we contribute in making our own economy stronger than ever.
Priya Sethi paid tributes at various sites and also visited Gandhi Bhawan to purchase Khadi items. She said that Congress misused the name of Gandhiji for petty political gains but never gave due importance to his vision of Swacch Bharat and AtmaNirbhar Bharat.
Munish Sharma participated in Swachta programs at Wards 13, 27 and 28. He also visited Khadi bhawan, Gandhi Nagar to purchase Khadi items.
Pramod Kapahi participated in Swachta program and distributed eatables at Kusht Ashram Ward 14, Bhagwati Nagar.
Cleanliness drive was undertaken at Tube Well in Ward No. 41 by Sanjay Kumar Baru in presence of Jugal Kishore Sharma, Sat Sharma, Vibodh Gupta, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Ayodhya Gupta, Jeet Angral, Keshav Chopra, Neelam Nargotra and other party leaders. Thereafter an awareness rally was taken out from Tube Well to Public School, where oath to maintain cleanliness and use of Swadeshi products was taken.
BJP Mahila Morcha led by Sanjita Dogra organized main event at BJP office Kachi Chawni to promote awareness on cleanliness and Swadeshi products. Mahila Morcha also organized Sawachta programs in every District.
BJYM led by Arun Jamwal conducted “Swachhta Rally” from Chanakya Chowk, Parade To Darwar Garh, Mubarak Mandi emphasizing on the need of promoting and maintaining cleanliness.
