Srinagar, November 18:
BJP Distt president Srinagar, Ashok Bhat, visited the family of 44 years old man from Palpora, Srinagar, who was electrocuted to death while discharging his duties.
Bhat visited the family of the deceased to express solidarity with the family.
Bhat , while expressing his grief said, “very often we come across these types of incidence, where a negligence by one cost’s the life of other. Here, also, the casual approach the dept. By resuming the power supply, without ensuring that Abdul Majeed shah has finished his work and giving green signal to feeder unit to resume the power supply, taking his life. this careless attitude must be checked into and an inquiry should be initiated against erring official’s“.
Bhat also urged the administration “to expedite the process of realizing all the benefits, be it the ex gratia amount or benefit in accordance with SRO rules, which the kith & kin’s of the deceased are entitled to .
Bhat was accompanied by Mohd Hanif Bhat, Muneer Ahmad Shah , Mohd Shaban Gani, Gh Rasool Guru, Parvez Ahmad, Ishfaq Ahmad and others.
Notably, in an unfortunate incident, a 44 years old man Abdul Majeed Shah from Palpora, Srinagar, working as daily wager with power department Srinagar was electrocuted to death on 18th November during the course of his duties.
Abdul Majeed Shah was working as line man in JK power development dept. and was carrying repair works on high voltage power supply line where he received the electric shock and lost his life.
