Amit Shah leaves for Delhi from the valley

Srinagar, May 17:

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has returned to Delhi after concluding his brief tour of Kashmir Valley on Friday. During this, he talked to many other delegations including BJP and local Sikhs. Amit Shah reached Srinagar on Thursday evening and left for New Delhi on Friday morning.

However, his visit amid Lok Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir led to speculations about his meetings with some mainstream political leaders based in Kashmir. But, no official statement has come regarding this before leaving the valley.

Before the visit, BJP’s Jammu and Kashmir unit general secretary Sunil Sharma said on Thursday that the Home Minister’s visit to Kashmir is not political. He said, ‘The Home Minister is coming here to review the measures from the security point of view to create an environment of security and peace. BJP workers will meet him and discuss organizational matters of the party.
