Amid speculations of his displeasure with the Congress, MP Shashi Tharoor on Wednesday clarified. He said that the 45-minute podcast is a conversation on life and the pursuit of happiness, there is nothing specific about any political controversy in it. He said that the party has called a meeting on Friday. I will be present in the meeting along with everyone else.

The alleged dispute between the Kerala Congress unit and MP Shashi Tharoor arose earlier this month. In fact, the Congress MP had praised the economic policies of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s Left Democratic Front (LDF) government in an article in an English newspaper. On this, many Kerala Congress leaders had criticized Tharoor and said that Vijayan’s schemes are a continuation of the initiatives taken by Oman Chandy, the Congress Chief Minister in Kerala. However, Tharoor clarified the issue and said that he had not talked about the schemes of the LDF government, but only about the changes in the industrial environment and startup ecosystem of the state, which was started by Oman Chandy himself.
After this, he praised PM Modi’s meeting with US President Donald Trump and his way of talking to America. However, later a situation of controversy arose between Congress and Tharoor on this issue as well. Seeing the controversy increasing, Tharoor said that he had praised the meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump in the interest of the country, because some positive results came out of it.
