Srinagar, July 6:
Due to heavy rains, the Amarnath Yatra has been temporarily halted. The yatra will resume only after the rains stop. Heavy rains are occurring intermittently on the Baltal and Pahalgam routes. In view of this, the authorities have taken this decision.
On the other hand, the devotees are eager to reach the court of Baba Barfani. Last Friday, 21686 devotees visited the holy ice lingam, due to which this figure has reached 151942 in the last seven days. However, the official figure is not being released by Shri Amarnath Shrine Board. Meanwhile, a group of 6919 devotees left for Kashmir in 259 small and big vehicles from the base camp Bhagwati Nagar Jammu.
