Amarnath Yatra: So far more than two and a half lakh devotees have reached Baba’s darbar

The enthusiasm among the devotees coming from all over the country for Shri Amarnath Yatra remains intact. In the last 13 days, more than 2.5 lakh devotees have had the darshan of Baba Barfani. On Thursday, 16,578 devotees attended Baba’s court, with which 2,65,699 pilgrims have reached the holy cave so far. Due to clear weather, the Yatra is continuing through the traditional Pahalgam and Baltal routes. Meanwhile, 4,885 devotees left for Kashmir in 191 small and big vehicles from the base camp Bhagwati Nagar Jammu.

The faith of the devotees reaching Jammu can be gauged from the fact that regardless of the heat and humidity, the devotees are standing in queues since late night at the designated centers to get tokens and get instant registration. Among them, there are a large number of devotees who have come after getting advance online yatri registration done, but with the faith of reaching Bhole, they are getting instant registration done and leaving with the groups.

On Thursday, a group of 1,894 devotees left for Baltal route in 86 vehicles from the base camp Bhagwati Nagar. These included 1248 men, 565 women, 11 children, 30 sadhus and 40 sadhvis. Similarly, a group of 2,991 devotees left for Pahalgam route in 105 vehicles. These included 2374 men, 521 women, three children, 81 sadhus and 12 sadhvis.
