All India Devotional Song Competition as a part of Navratra Festival 2023 being organised jointly by SMVD Shrine Board,Deptt.of J&K Tourism,Mh1 in association with J&K Bank,DIVINTI,Nice Gems,Nidesh Builders Jammu Pvt.Ltd. Jammu,Pure Roots,Yog Ashram Trust with active support of District Administration and the local host Community was inaugurated today in the evening by litting of a traditional lamp by Swami Yoganand ji Maharaj in presence of famous singer Dheeraj Kant,Chairman Devotional Song Committee & President Hotel Association Katra Rakesh Wazir,Former winners of the Competition Vanshika Jaral and Meenu Atwal,judges of the Competition,Prince Khajuria and others. etc.
In a statement issued to mercury times, while speaking on the occasion Swami ji said that this competition where on one hand has provided platform to the budding singers,and on the other hand has given a big boost to the Tourism. . Whereas in first day of the preliminary round of competition famous singer Rahul Lakhotra took first position,and Vaishali Prajapati & Aditya Kumar stood 2nd and & 3rd position again was shared by twi persons i.e. Arundeep Singh and Sunil Atwal among the 12 auditioned participants state and were provided with the cash prizes of 10,000/- , 5,000/- and 3,000/- respectively by the Chief Guest
The Grand finale of the All India Devotional Song Competition will be held on 23rd of Oct. and winners will be awarded with gold amounting to Rs. 3 Lakh and a recording contract with Venus and likewise the runners ups will get gold worth 01 lac and 50,000/- respectively.
The Devotional Song Competition was adjudged by the panels of experts in music including Dr.Usha Bhagati Ex.HOD Music many degree colleges including P.G.M.A.M College Jammu, Dr. Surinder Sharma Head of the department Govt. Degree College Sanjoli Himachal Pradesh & Dr. C L Verma Ex.Chairman Post Graduate Univeristy of Himachal Pardesh.
Famous celebrity singer Dheeraj Kant known for his famous songs Mujhe Dass bana le,Rachaiya Srishti ko jis Prabhu ne etc. enthralled the audience with his melodious songs and mesmerized the audience with his melodious voice and and likewise Vanshika Jaral former winner of the Competition too performed and the total environment of the venue became spiritual
The proceeding of Competition was conducted by Sh.Rakesh Wazir who is also the Chairman of the said Competition.He while speaking on the occasion said that premelimanary rounds of the competition will continue till 20thOct.and any one can enroll by simply making a call on 9419915907.The quarter final of the competition will be held on 21st Oct.whereas Semi Final & Final would be held on 22nd and 23 rd Oct.respecticely and live telecast of the event is available on Mh1 from 9 PM onwards daily.
