A young man who went to a wedding ceremony near the LoC in Poonch reached PoK, FIR filed for illegally crossing the border

Jammu, December 11:
A 28-year-old youth from Poonch district has gone to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Shahid Khan, a resident of ward number six of Kasba village, had gone to attend a wedding ceremony in Kirni village. The wedding is in front of the fencing. It is believed that he crossed the LoC at around 3:15 pm.
According to sources, Shahid crossed the border of Kirni Nallah and went across it through the Bodia post of the Pakistan Army.

When the incident was reported late in the evening, a police team from Poonch district headquarters was sent to Kirni.
The police team is in Kirni. An FIR has been registered against the youth at Poonch police station for illegally crossing the border. It is not yet clear whether Shahid inadvertently crossed the LoC or deliberately crossed it.
Even before this, such cases have been reported in Poonch district. Many people living in rural areas along the Line of Control in the district have their families and relatives living in PoK. Often, villagers move to the other side.
Many of these people have been returned after several months. There are some people who go across the border because they are associated with terrorist organizations, ISI or drug trafficking.
