Jammu, January 21:
BOP Bundtip of the 125th battalion of BSF in Ramgarh sector of Samba district has recovered a huge cache of rusty weapons in the confluence area of Basantar-Devika river. This area comes under Police Station Samba.
According to the information, today BSF personnel saw some laborers collecting scrap on the river bank. On investigation, the remains of the mortar and grenade that had already exploded there were found along with normal junk. The recovered material is said to include 20 grenades and a mortar shell.
The BSF has taken possession of all the suspicious material from the spot. For security reasons, surveillance has been increased in the area and the situation is being monitored continuously.
