Samba, October 13: In its drive against parking of vehicles at unauthorised places, District Police Samba has challaned/seized 40 number of vehicles under various sections of laws for wrong parking in main bazaar Vijaypur/NHW Vijaypur.
During the drive, a Police Party of P/S Vijaypur in collaboration with Traffic Police have challaned/seized 40 illegally parked vehicles in main market and along the bylanes of Jammu-Pathankot National Highway Samba. An amount of Rs 50,000/- generated from challaned vehicles is deposited in Govt revenue and the seized vehicles have been kept under the custody of Police Station Vijaypur.
It is very known that people has the habit of parking vehicles in public places/roadsides which becomes one of the main factors in road accidents and traffic jams.
District Police Samba has made an appeal to the general public not to park their vehicles wrongly/illegally at places leading to road accidents or causing impediment in smooth flow of traffic movement. Any violation in this regard will be viewed seriously and should be dealt firmly under law.
