The sequence of children falling sick in Baddal continues. After another girl fell sick on Thursday, the local people were shifted to Rajouri. In two days, about 170 people have been shifted from Baddal to Rajouri. According to health officials, this sequence will continue in future as well.
Local people expressed anger towards the administration for setting up a quarantine centre in Rajouri’s nursing college. People said that they fear that people of the city may also start getting affected. Local residents of Rajouri have demanded from Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abhishek Sharma that the quarantine centre be shifted to a government building on the outskirts of the city.
Principal of Government Medical College, Dr. AS Bhatia said that there is nothing to fear. Leading laboratories of the country have declared after testing the samples that there is no disease or virus in Baddal village. The government has decided to isolate these people from the local environment and send them to safer places for their health. The centers set up in GMC and Nursing College are observation centers and not quarantine centers.
