17 days after the death of the son in Kulgam, the mother also died

Srinagar, January 22:
The mother also died on Tuesday, 17 days after the death of her son in a suffocation incident in Guddar of Kulgam district of South Kashmir.

Famida Akhtar and her 25-year-old son Nisar Ahmed Khan were brought to a nearby hospital on January 2 after they fainted due to heater smoke. The doctors referred them to SKIMS Soura.
The officer said, Nisar Ahmad died two days after the incident. His mother Famida Akhtar died today despite prolonged treatment. He said that a total of 19 deaths had occurred due to suffocation in Jammu and Kashmir. After Famida’s death on Tuesday, the figure has reached 20.
